Nitida is a family producer of traditional, hand-made wines from a unique micro-climate influenced by both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (the vineyard has commanding views of each ocean). It is the smallest vineyard (16 hectares) in Durbanville, a landscape that has been likened to the patchwork of Burgundy, where centuries of inheritance over many generations have fragmented this former single plot into many tiny parcels. The family adheres to traditional practices and thoughtful vineyard care - including hand harvesting and sorting - to produce thoughtful, terroir-driven wines (including a benchmark Semillon).
