CHATEAU MAGENCE 2008
Located 30 miles to the southeast of Bordeaux city center in Graves, the 130 acre Chateau Magence estate is highly unusual as it has been held by the same family since its creation in the 18th century. Originally built for Jean de Majence, the estate is today overseen by the D’Antras family, with Jean D’Antras leading the winemaking efforts. The chateau has a superb site, overlooking the Garonne river, with gently-sloping vineyards of gravel over clay offering superb drainage.
