GLAETZER

The Glaetzer family has been a mainstay in Barossa Valley since emigrating from Brandenburg, Germany in the late 19th century. With prime acreage in the warm, northern Ebeneezer district and an enviable crop of 130-year old vines, Glaetzer began bottling wines under their own label a century later and have quickly gained a reputation as one of Australia’s pre-eminent wineries. Winemaker Ben Glaetzer firmly believes that great wines are made in the vineyard and combines pure Barossa fruit with minimal intervention techniques to produce elegant, polished reds. The wines have become critical darlings both at home and in the US, and their Amon-Ra and Anaperenna bottlings are considered Australian icons.
