DOMAINE DE CHEVALIER

Domaine de Chevalier, located in the Pessac-Leognan appellation of Bordeaux, dates all the way back to 1155 and is one of Bordeaux’s oldest wine-making properties. With a dynamic team led by Olivier Bernard and famed consultant Stephane Derenoncourt, the property has become one of the stars of Pessac and now routinely turns out stellar, age-worthy, yet accessibly-priced wines. The 120-hectare estate contains 35 hectares of vines that average 30 years of age, and the domaine is located in a forest clearing, which protects the vines from extreme temperatures. Furthermore, the vineyard uses sustainable and biodynamic farming techniques, and all grapes are picked by hand. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 to 22 months.
