CHATEAU DE LANESSAN
Chateau de Lanessan traces its wine making history to the late 18th century with its purchase by Jean Delbos. Today, the chateau remains in the hands of the Boutellier family (the eighth generation of the family at the helm). The vineyards are situated in close proximity to the famed wine commune of St Julien and border Chateau Gruaud Larose and Chateau Beychevelle. Paz Espejo has been winemaker since 2009 and crafts the lovely Caleches bottling as a more accessible and early drinking version of the grand vin. Since 2015, famed oenologist Hubert de Bouard has been consulting.
