CANON CHAIGNEAU
Canon Chaigneau is one of Lalande-de-Pomerol’s leading estates with a centuries-long history and an enviable location on the Neac plateau just north of Pomerol. The estate boasts sloping vineyards planted on the same iron-rich clay and limestone soils as its illustrious neighbor to the south. Purchased recently by London-born wine merchant Romik Arconian, the wines are made by Thierry Garnaud, famed ex-cellar master of Cheval Blanc from 1988-2018. Unsurprisingly given this pedigree, in recent years the chateau has enjoyed significant critical acclaim.
