CANICATTI
CVA Canicatti is a 300-member cooperative situated in the hills above the Sicilian city of Canicatti in the province of Agrigento. Originally formed in 1969, this one-time bulk producer has gained an international reputation for its extensive range of coop-bottled high-quality wines made from a mix of native Sicilian cultivars as well as international varietals. Wine makers Tonino Guzzo and Giuditta Raccuglia are able to draw upon 900 hectares of vineyards, across a diversity of terroirs (which spread to Sicily’s north coast), modern winery equipment and the latest winemaking methods to craft complex and rich wines offering superb QPR.
