CHÂTEAU CANTENAC BROWN
One of Bordeaux’s most visually stunning estates (the chateau building is in the Tudor style and the property boasts manicured parkland), Third Growth Cantenac Brown has gone from strength to strength and is now regarded as one of Margaux’s leading lights. Recently purchased by French magnate Tristan Le Lous, Cantenac Brown has benefitted from major investments by successive, highly-regarded owners and boasts superb terroir, immaculate old vines, top-tier winemaking facilities and the steady hand of acclaimed winemaker Jose Sanfins. Brio de Cantenac is the estate’s second wine and is made for more immediate enjoyment than the notably long-lived first wine. It features a higher proportion of Merlot and is aged in a mix of new and 2nd use French oak barrels to moderate the oak influence and produce a wine with silky tannins, beautiful ripe berry flavors and notable balance.
